Battle of Champions II: Vinny Iuzzolino vs. Greg Giglione

In the last amateur fight of the evening, Bellmore Kickboxing's Vinny Iuzzolino and his vocal crowd support faced Greg Giglione, from the Shaolin camp. Giglione used his height and length and scored early with a side kick, a move that he relied on throughout the fight against the hard-charging Iuzzolino. In Rds. 2 and 3, the powerful Iuzzolino, in what was his first ever kickboxing match, walked through Giglione's kicks, muscled Giglione, had some success with the right hand, and controlled the clinch with body work. It seemed to many that Iuzzolino had done more damage than Giglione's kicks. Ultimately, though, Iuzzolino did not throw enough kicks, and the point deductions for not kicking enough per round cost him; Giglione took the decision. Suffice it to say that the crowd in the men's room during the intermission period did not like this decision.

Iuzzolino charges in.

Not sure what Giglione is doing here...

Iuzzolino is pumped up after the final bell...

...but it's Giglione who leaves the winner.
