UFC 137 Afterthoughts

So I did the liveblog for UFC 137 over at CagePotato.com earlier. Here are some ruminations:

1) People much prefer scrolling down over clicking over to a new page for the continued coverage. The villagers were coming for me with pitchforks.
2) Cro Cop calls it quits. He was never one of my favorites - I was always more of a fedor fan from the Pride days - and I was never one who fawned over Cro Cop, but, in fairness, he was a nasty bastard whose highlight reel is as devastating as anyone's. Plus, after what he did to Wanderlei Silva, Josh Barnett, and Aleks Emelianenko - three guys I love - I will always admire him as a fighter. And he was quite the prankster.
3) Why does everyone hate Nick Diaz? He's easily one of my top five all-time favorites (along with Fedor, Wanderlei, Arlovski, and BJ Penn). Slick BJJ, tough chin, lethal hands, hilarious antics. Am I missing something?
4) I don't think BJ Penn is really done.
5) Top position won the fight for Scott Jorgensen. I would have given it to Jeff Curran, who was busier on the floor and won the stand-up battle.
6) It's time for Donald Cerrone to fight a top lightweight. He never disappoints.
7) Matt Mitrione is only getting better. This loss shouldn't set him back too far.
8) Roy Nelson is a gorgeous man.
